Topic: Running scripts off USB -- chumbydebug

At Foo camp, I was told that I could run my own scripts by inserting a USB drive with a "chumbydebug" script; but I'm having trouble getting this to work.  In particular, I'd like to run a script that either runs a single flash animation, or runs sshd.  I tried the following:

  1. Format a USB drive (tried FAT & FAT-32)
  2. Create a script file.
2.a. (Tried file names "chumbydebug", "debugchumby", "chumby_debug", and "debug_chumby"
2.b. (Tried file contents "sshd", "/sbin/sshd", and "/bin/sshd")
  3. Plug the USB drive into chumby (tried both USB ports)
  4. Turn on chumby
  5. Try ssh-ing to chumby's IP address

Unfortunately, none of the above permutations worked.  And trying similar things for flash animations didn't work either.  Any suggestions?  Do I need to use ext2 or some other file system?  Do I have the filename or location of sshd wrong?  Anyone else gotten anything similar to work?  Thanks!
