Topic: Set default widget

Hello out there,
how can I set the default widget (the pin at GUI) after a reboot?
THX for suggestions,
oliaros

Re: Set default widget

Unfortunately, the pinning of a widget does not survive reboot.

Usually users create single-widget channels for this sort of behavior.

Re: Set default widget

How does the Chumby know that a widget is pinned? Isn't there a flag for the pinned one?

Re: Set default widget

Widgets aren't actually pinned, the Control Panel is just basically stopped from automatically cycling through the widgets.  You can manually advance the widgets and it will then stay on the new one rather that the one you originally "pinned".

The "advance widgets" flag is a just a variable in the Control Panel's memory, which is not stored permanently anywhere.  The "pin" was the UI metaphor chosen by the interface designers at the time.

thx for the information. There are still many interesting things in the little one!
