Topic: Facebook Status widget shows same friends?

Does the facebook status widget show random friends? Otherwise based on widget timeout I am never going to see friends down my list...

The widget lists your friends in the order they most recently updated their profile (including status), so it's not random. If want to see more friends cycle through, you can always change the timeout duration for the widget or "Stay" on that widget while you're using it.
