Topic: slideshowpro makes custom slideshows easy

i use slideshowpro for some of my corporate clients to create slideshows for their site. for the past couple of weeks, i've been running it from my chumby to display family photos. it currently costs about $29, but your license lets you use it for multiple installs (any site you do development for).

it uses a simple XML construct as it's backend. since i'm a programmer, i built my own xml output from an existing photo application i use on my personal site, but they also sell a slick web-based admin tool if that's your thing.

i've found most of the features of slideshowpro to work just fine. you won't get mouse-over functions as that's not really valid with a touch-screen, but otherwise it's a nice little configurable way to show your own photos on chumby if you want to customize things above-and-beyond the available widgets.

btw-i'm not affiliated with the slideshowpro folks in any way.
