Topic: Attacks on poorly secured IoT devices

I wonder if this will finally force IoT device manufacturers to take security seriously. If all their customers return the devices because they "failed" shortly after set up, it would suddenly become cheaper to solve the security problem than to deal with all the returns. I am not saying what the creators of BrickerBot is doing is right (absolutely not), but it might have a silver lining.
