Topic: Mute audio?

Hello,

My NeTV is on order, so until it gets here, I'm curious: does the NeTV support muting audio from the incoming HDMI stream? Has anyone gotten this to work?

Regards!

Re: Mute audio?

I am curious where you found one to order.

Re: Mute audio?

I've seen 'em pop up on ebay from time to time.

Cleaning up any loose bits and bytes.

Re: Mute audio?

Adafruit has 20 of them - can't paste the link here but a quick search turns them up.

Re: Mute audio?

The best place to discuss the NeTV is on the Kosagi forums.

Having said that, though, I don't recall the device doing anything with the HDMI audio but pass it through, but things might have changed.

Re: Mute audio?

Thanks, Duane.

I know the NeTV is about 3 years old and things have evolved, but could you tell me who currently owns the IP and supports it? If I wanted to place an order for thousands of units, who would I contact?

Regards,

Zach

Re: Mute audio?

Andrew "bunnie" Huang was the original designer of the NeTV, done out of Chumby's Singapore office.

As part of the Chumby closure, all of the IP related to the product was licensed to bunnie.  He then formed a company called "Kosagi" aka "Sutajio Ko-Usagi", which manufactures and distributes the product.

If you want more devices, that's who you want to contact.

Re: Mute audio?

Great, thank you!

Re: Mute audio?

Wow, Adafruit is proud of their Netv $150.00

I find it interesting that the Netv was ahead of the curve before Chromecast ever came out. It even does more!

Will keep searching for a bargain Netv to play with.
