You are able to delete widgets. We have made it very simple to use. Just go to http://www.chumby.com/widgets/uploaded and click the widget you want to delete. This will take you to a page where you can edit the widget information. At the very bottom of the page, below the 'Update' submit button, there is a link 'Delete this widget'. Thats it. Every instance and information of your widget will be removed.

I believe the best solution currently is to run upload the widget through the Chumby Network. This insures/ensures? that the widget will be passed on to the chumby will all required parameters and information from the control panel. Testing a stand along widget might work, but you would not have access to some of the nice things the Control Panel on the chumby provides for the widgets use.
