Topic: Squeezy bits?
Hi...bunnie let me know that the holes in the side fabric are for the speakers...there is a touch pad on the screen...
I read somewhere there are other squeezable parts in the soft body....any truth to this?

yeah, bend sensors. i assume they are on either side
What do they do exactly? Just activate the buttons that appear around the clockface?
There is a single bend sensor extending from back to front just behind the upper left side of the bezel.
The chumby keeps a running tally of the state of that sensor, and generates a "bent" event if the sensor changes past a certain threshold, which is adjustable by the user.
Apologies...just found my answer here....

We are also considering adding other sensors as well--some of them may be a lot of fun and play well with the idea of a squeezable, soft housing! The hacker sensor package has an accelerometer, for example...

I could see a SmackBook-esque (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uvQTTPr9Rw) chumby, or a Chumby where you turn off the alarm by tossing it off the table or across the room

I like that, add a sudden motion sensor type thing would open a whole new world of widgets that use xyz. Such as Shadyman's alarmclock idea, or a marble game, or another way to imput text, scroll, click, etc....
you could have chumby bowling it reads measurements from its sensors, like X and Y position, and then determines if you hit any pins (virtual of course)
