Just bumped into this hassle with one of my old posts - if you see:
http://wiki.chumby.com/mediawiki/

in a linked url, change it to:
http://wiki.blueocty.com/

e.g.
http://wiki.chumby.com/mediawiki/index. … trol_Panel
<404 error - wah!>
changed to:
http://wiki.blueocty.com/index.php?titl … trol_Panel
<yay! all tickety boo!>

(or someone could CNAME these guys together in DNS wink)

Nah, just needed some rewrite magic.  When we moved to the new server, we switched web server engines, and the old one had some fancy rewrites running that made the /mediawiki links work (probably itself the result of some earlier migration).

Just needed to implement an equivalent rewrite on the new server, and the previously-404ing link now behaves normally smile
