Topic: chumby classic guts touchscreen broken

Hi,

some time ago I bought a few Chumby Guts kits (Chumby classic without the case) which I built into my wall. Unfortunately one of them now acts like the touchscreen is being pressed continuously. When I boot the chumby it always goes into 'special options screen' mode.  I replaced the screen with the one of another guts kit I had still laying around and that one works perfectly so it's really the screen.

Any idea how to get the touchscreen working again?  Is this a standard lcd module I could buy somewhere or was this specificaly made for the Chumby?

Wow, indeed. Unfortunately finding one that will ship to Belgium seems to be a bit harder and the European reseller don't seem to like discounts.

As a matter of fact I haven't visited the forum for quite some time, looks I will not start stockpiling if I want to make sure I have spare ports :-(
