Topic: Ubuntu Maverick or Natty on Insignia Chumby 3.5inch

Hi there, despite my best efforts, I can't seem to get Maverick or Natty to work on my Chumby. They act as if they are for the wrong CPU. I have even tried a dist-upgrade from an older Ubuntu release with no success.
I have settled with Ubuntu Jaunty but it is too old and alot of the things I try to do require newer libs.
During all of my attempts, I have been only using the original Chumby kernel.
Is it because the Kernel was compiled with an older compiler?

Thanks
Jon

Chumby devices do not use armv7 processors.  Ubuntu has only supported Armv7 since Lucid 10.04.  You should see if debian binaries support your device.  They are compiled for older processors.
