Topic: How can I connect to hotel wifi that redirects browser?

I spent some time searching the forums to see how to do this but found nothing (although I'm sure i read a thread on it months ago).

You know those Wifi connections that are "open" but the browser immediately redirects you to a webpage to enter your credentials before giving you free access?

How can you connect a Infocast 8 device to that?  The initial Network configuration fails and never gives you the chance to enter creds in the browser login page.  Is there a workaround for this?

Still looking for an answer.  Hopefully my question is understood.

Is it possible to connect to a WiFi network that uses redirect web page for login?

Re: How can I connect to hotel wifi that redirects browser?

No, not without some "debugchumby"-style hacking.  It's something we may be able to add in the future now that there's a browser, however, at the moment, the browser is not in the standard firmware image, but is loaded the first time you attempt to use it after you make a network connection (which, of course, would be too late).

Thanks for chiming in Duane.
Although, not exactly what I wanted to hear it makes sense.
