Topic: Flash Lite 4 and ActionScript 3 support in beta firmware for chumby8

http://files.chumby.com/ken/fl4/enginee … update.zip

To update firmware:

1) Copy the file to a USB drive.
Once you’ve downloaded the latest firmware for your device, copy the file directly to a clean USB drive (do not unzip or extract it, copy the file exactly as it is when you download it).

2) Update your chumby. With chumby turned off, insert the USB drive with the firmware on it into one of the USB slots on the device.
Once the USB drive is in place, press and hold your finger against the screen and turn the power on. Leave your finger on the screen while chumby powers up.
After a moment, you will be asked to briefly calibrate your device, after which you will be taken to the “Special Options” screen. Tap the option labeled “Install Updates.” On the next screen tap the option labeled “Install From USB Drive.” The firmware will now be loaded from your USB drive onto your device.

Visit developer.chumby.com for the full scoop on AS3 support in Beta firmware.

It is likely that the link in the forum post above will become deprecated.

alas, developer.chumby.com is not loading.

Did FL4, AS3 ever make it into production update on the Chumby classic, one or 8?

I believe we shipped it on the C8 only.
