Topic: alerts

The default of only ten minutes just isn't enough for me.  My suggestion:  make it possible for the user to adjust the default alerts.

I'm talking about the alerts that can be set for an event in Google Calendar. 

The default alerts are:  1 email alert 10 minutes before the event, and 1 popup alert 10 minutes before the event.  I'd like the ability to change the default settings to something more reasonable for my needs, but I don't see this option anywhere in settings.
