i made a basic r2r ladder - the levels are right but theres still a little kernel tweaking to get proper vga signals out

That's cool, resolution max is the same as the S-video output ?
That's cool, resolution max is the same as the S-video output ?
according to the datasheet
"Up to VGA (640x480) resolution at 60Hz LCD panel support"
considering it has to do this on-chip, thats not too bad
Sweet.. higher resolution Chumby Goodness on a monitor
Do you have a fbset settings yet? Is that a special protoboard?
Note the flash resolution (which can't squeeze out NTSC bandwidth) is 720x480. It is interlaced, but it should work on a monitor - I wonder if there is a dual-output setting.
Sadly, the on-chip LCD interface can only output to one device at a time. So you'll get VGA, LCD, or NTSC/PAL, and only one at a time.
You might be able to bit-bang something to get multiple devices, but that's going to be a challenge.
Ladyada, any chance of you putting that nifty protoboard of yours there into production? I'd take a couple, for sure.
Me too, i want that shield.
Did anyone have a link to a touchscreen LCD for the hacker board ?
we're revising the PCB to match the 'release candidate' Chumby which is currently being designed - as soon as its ready we'll post - promise!
Will that fit the current beta boards as well?
it will work with both. we're doing one more test PCB run
2ladyada. Can you show schematic of this shield? Thank you.
Sienna/brianez, You may want to send ladyada an e-mail via forum, as this thread is almost 2 years old :x
Sienna, welcome to the forums! We do ask though, that you not make a habit of reviving old threads
