Topic: Bend Sensor Replacements

I am thinking about alternatives to the "Squeeze" and Bend Sensor. I wanted to collect more information about the bend sensor and what it looking for/testing for.

I saw "read through ADC" in a previous post about interfaces. I couldn't find an ADC document anywhere. Can someone lead me to that?

Re: Bend Sensor Replacements

English is a funny language.

By "read through ADC", it means "the value is read from the sensor through the Analog-to-Digital Converter".

Thanks Duane! I'm guessing that the Bend Sensor is an analog sensor, and the response from the sensor gets converted to digital signals elsewhere in the core. I'm also guessing that the Bend Sensor responds with a voltage based on the bend.

Re: Bend Sensor Replacements

Yes, that's correct.  The bend sensor varies its electrical resistance based on the amount of bend.
