Topic: Question on factory reset?

I'm getting ready to sell my red Chumby 8 and was wondering about removing any settings that I have in the unit.  Do I need to do a factory reset and/or do I need to de-register it?  If I have to do a factory reset how do I do it.   Thanks

I believe that about all that there is in the unit itself is the local network settings.

if the service was up and running, then that unit would be tied to your account, and you'd need to log into the account and deregister it.

you might want to hang on to it, last I heard from Duane, he's getting real close to bringing back much of the functionality smile

From what I understand you don't need to do anything except maybe do a reset in the special options section. (Hold finger on screen after reboot until special options appear) Whoever buys it will only be able to do what is available now anyway. When the new service comes back Duane will tell us what to so to register or reregister if need be.
