Topic: Chumby One won't boot at all

I see the blue screen with the two eyes for about a second, then the screen goes black.

If I hold a finger on the screen and power up, I see the "continue to hold..." screen for about the same length of time, and then it too goes black.

This sounds like a power supply issue.

Do you have a battery in the device?  If so, please try without it.

Also, is the device still under warranty?

I doubt it's under warranty.

I will try it with another power supply (with the same voltage, of course), when I get home.

If it is the power supply, then it'll be yet another instance of Chinese wall warts that have failed prematurely of late. I've become quite adept at cutting the plugs off and attaching them to replacements.

Boo for cheap Chinese-made power supplies hmm
