Topic: Cron jobs

Okay, this is kind of bizarre.  I have the same cron file on both chumbies:
/etc/cron/crontabs/root

The same cron command runs on both at startup:
/usr/sbin/crond -c /etc/cron/crontabs -S

But one is executing a script in the root crontab, and the other is not.  Both have been rebooted since the new crontab was put in.

How do I figure out what's gone wrong?

Re: Cron jobs

Bump?

Can anyone tell me where chumby logs cron jobs, and if I have to do anything special to turn on cron logging?

And anyone have any idea on this issue?  Why would two otherwise identical chumbies with the same crontab (scp'd from the working one to the non-working one) would react differently?

Re: Cron jobs

Is it somewhere in /vars/logs  ?

Re: Cron jobs

Well, I gave up on it; I went ahead and picked up an 8gig microSD card, wrote the ROM to it (http://wiki.ladyada.net/chumbyhackerboard/microsd) and stuck it in the malfunctioning chumby.  No more problem smile and lots more space.
