Topic: NOAA weather widget fails after a while

NOAA widget starts fine, but after a while (possibly after night mode), it displays just the background and none of the actual numbers (values).

Did anybody else see the same thing?

The NOAA widget is based in a feed from noaa.gov, which is a bit flaky sometimes.  It's a free, public service, and they make no guarantees on uptime.

We're updating our server to better accomodate outages from their systems.  That server is currently in QA and should deploy sometime in the next week or so, which should reduce this behavior.

I noticed the same issue.
I found after a little time of being on different widgets (or a different channel) it tends to go back to normal.

Speaking of the NWS, they have RSS feeds for all states. I've got the RSS reader giving me watches and warnings now for Texas.  See  http://www.nws.noaa.gov/alerts/
