Topic: Volume controls problems

I have two Chumbys, soft one and hard one. This is about the Chumby One, the hard one. From the first day, the rotary volume control completely muted the volume at about 1cm from the "0" level, when observed on the slider volume. Accordingly, sliding the volume up then down, the volume mutes at  about 1cm from the "0" level. The volume cannot be made  "low". It is either muted, or noticeably "loud". There is no gradation at the 1cm point. The slider is not sensitive enough to have a low volume – it mutes at the  1cm point, and the gradation is either "0", or 1cm – the slider  jumps. This is a noticeable volume difference in my very quiet room. Chumby needs to make a normal volume control, that smoothly increases volume without the choppy increases.
