Issue: My 2-year-old Chumby's screen goes dead after the bubbles on start-up.  The power totally shuts down -- black screen of death.

Details: I contacted the Chumby Customer Chat and walked thru the diagnostics. They determined it was hardware related.

Since I bought the unit when they first came out, the 12-month warrantee is no longer valid -- and the company does not yet offer reconditioned units (they said maybe in a few months) or even a discount on a replacement.

Any Solutions? Or is this the curse of being an early adopter?
