Topic: Plans for jtag connection?

We have an Eclipse based IDE (EDGE) that can connect to imx21 eval boards using the arm multi-ice or our own EPI debug connection.

We also have ports of our Nucleus RTOS to the various Freexcale iMX eval boards.  I would really like to connect EDGE Debugger-->MAJIC-->Chumby.  So I am querying the likelyhood that the target will incorporate the connection?  We could also make a GDB connection to the target work with our debugger but I would prefer to use the JTAG in an effort to demonstrate our products.

Re: Plans for jtag connection?

The pins to connect to JTAG are broken out to test pads but there is no standard JTAG header connected to the MX21. You can solder wires to these points and connect them to your JTAG system.

There is JTAG header on the board, but it is connected to the cryptoprocessor instead. The JTAG is used to program the cryptoprocessor, and yes, for now the JTAG is unlocked so you can read the contents of the chip out (intentionally).
