Topic: Flickr ID

To get the Flickr widget to show yor pictures you need to enter the numeric ID from your Flickr RSS feed. Go to "Your pictures" and find the number embedded in the link to the RSS feed (the button at the bottom of the page). The link looks something like this:

http://api.flickr.com/services/feeds/ph … at=rss_200

The ID you want is 48952122

Re: Flickr ID

Thanks - I'll file a bug to update the configuration widget to present the necessary instructions.

Re: Flickr ID

For the time being, in order to properly "personalize" your Flickr photo widget, you will need to obtain the RSS ID that flickr provides.  This is *NOT* your Flickr account name.  In order to retrieve your ID from Flickr, log into your account and do the following:

- click on "You" -> "Your Photos" (or go to someone else's default photo page)
- scroll to the bottom of the page and find and click on the http://www.flickr.com/images/feed-icon-16x16.png Feed" icon that says, "http://www.flickr.com/images/feed-icon-16x16.png Feed – Subscribe to <username's> photos"
- The URL will look similar to:
- Take the "id" field (bold portion of the URL above) from the URL and enter it into your "configure" window for the Flickr widget.

Once we start using the Flickr API (very near future), we should be able to programmatically reverse the ID from your Flickr account name.  Until then, please continue to use this method.  Flickr tags will also be supported as this particular widget evolves.
