I have many Chumbys, and I thought that I was pretty good at making them do what I want them to do.
However, I have three Chumby Classics upon which I have set alarms as follows:

Alarm name: Weekends at 8:00 am
When: Weekends at 8:00 am
Audio: none
Backup alarm: Off
Alarm/snooze screen: Off
After alarm: Set night mode off

Alarm name: Weekends at 8:00 pm
When: Weekends at 8:00 pm
Audio: none
Backup alarm: Off
Alarm/snooze screen: Off
After alarm: Set night mode on

What I want to happen is for the Chumbys to come on at 8 am on Saturday and Sunday morning, and switch off at 8 pm on Saturday and Sunday night.
What is happening is that none of them come on in the mornings. They stay in night mode. After I wake them up manually, they will enter night mode according to the alarms.
I have checked in the Alarm screen, and the alarms are all activated.
I am baffled. I have other Chumbys that go in and out of night mode according to the alarms I have set.
