Topic: Insignia Infocast Can See Networks but not connect to networks

Hi,

My Insignia Infocast can see networks but not connect to them.  Automatic update gone crazy?  Any troubleshooting ideas are appreciated.

Thank you.

Re: Insignia Infocast Can See Networks but not connect to networks

There haven't been any recent updates.

Possible causes:

1) MAC Address filtering the AP is preventing the device from associating
2) Hit the limit on devices that can be connected to the AP at one time
3) DHCP disabled on the AP
4) All of the non-routable IPs have been allocated in the internal tables in the IP (usually an AP restart fixes this).
5) 802.11b/g compatibility mode is not enabled in the AP.
6) Incorrect WEP or WPA/PSK credentials being used.
7) Device cannot reach the internet
8) Click-through page required to connect.

Has the device ever been used on this particular network, and if so, has anything changed recently?

Also - please check if you have the most current firmware - see this forum thread: http://forum.chumby.com/viewtopic.php?id=8654
